Purpose of the application

RECTYR YouTube Automation is a desktop-operated workflow used to prepare and publish RECTYR-owned gaming videos. Its functions include preparing video metadata and thumbnails locally and, when authorized, using Google/YouTube APIs to upload and manage content on the authorized YouTube channel.

Google user data accessed

The application may access Google/YouTube account and channel data made available by the Google API scopes that the user explicitly authorizes. Depending on the permissions granted, this may include basic account identification needed for authorization, YouTube channel information, video metadata, upload status, playlists, and the ability to upload or manage videos and related YouTube resources.

The application does not request access to unrelated Google services for the purpose of the RECTYR YouTube publishing workflow.

How Google user data is used

Google user data is used only to provide the user-requested YouTube automation functions, such as identifying the authorized channel, uploading videos, applying video metadata, setting thumbnails, organizing videos into playlists, and recording the result of requested publishing operations.

Google user data is not used for targeted advertising, personalized advertising, credit decisions, sale to data brokers, or creation of user profiles for advertising purposes. Google user data is not used to train, improve, or develop generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

Local processing and storage

Gameplay analysis, packaging, and thumbnail preparation may be performed locally on the operator's computer. The application may store local workflow metadata needed to operate reliably, such as the authorized channel reference, video identifiers, upload results, playlist assignments, publishing timestamps, and processing status.

OAuth authorization credentials or tokens may be stored locally as necessary to maintain authorized access. They are used only for the application's Google/YouTube API operations and should be protected as sensitive credentials.

Sharing and disclosure

RECTYR does not sell Google user data. Google user data is not shared with third parties for advertising, marketing, profiling, or data-broker purposes. Data is transmitted to Google/YouTube as necessary to perform the API operations requested by the authorized user.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or when necessary to protect the security and integrity of the application, but only to the extent legally required or reasonably necessary.

Data retention and deletion

Local application data is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to operate and document the RECTYR publishing workflow. Generated workflow records may be deleted when they are no longer needed. OAuth tokens can be removed from the local application environment, and Google account access can be revoked through the user's Google Account security controls.

Because the application is currently operated for RECTYR's own content workflow rather than as a public multi-user service, there is no separate public user database maintained by RECTYR YouTube Automation.

Security

Reasonable measures are used to protect locally stored credentials and workflow data. No method of electronic storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure, and authorization credentials should never be intentionally published or shared.
